Random Monday thoughts-

1. coffee just isn't cutting it this morning ... stayed up too late watching the Grammys. I thought it was such a fun night. LL's positive hosting was such a breath of fresh air but Nikki Manaj what the hell was that??

2. AND did you see the Civil Wars? I was so excited! Nurse A introduced me to this sassy duet.

3. I started sewing some pillows for W's living room and can. not. stop. I think if I picked up knitting I wouldn't sleep.

4. At Church yesterday they were talking about upcoming Ash Wednesday and I had the desire to give up something big for Lent. Something that would really have me relying on the Lord for strength. I talked to W about it afterwards and he said he would do it with me. Drum roll please ... we are going to give up Carbs. Yes, it sounds like just a diet but I LOVE me any kinda carbs and it is going to be tough. Are you thinking of giving anything up?

5. Pretty excited about Valentines day tomorrow. I am making strawberry cupcakes later today for all of my favorite Raleigh peeps. nom. nom. nom.

6. Nurse A is moving to Raleigh in 4 days for 3 months. So pumped to have my sissie back! She is not going to be happy about the no carbs thing though...

Back to work today!

After an inspiring weekend in NYC getting back on the wheel and creating has been exciting. So many new things running through my head.

We had the best time on our little get away. I haven't laughed and eaten that much in forever.

We had a funny run in Friday night after the Mamma Mia show as we headed to Ruby Foo's for some late night Chinese. The wind was blowing so hard and we were doubled over laughing as we tried to keep our skirts down walking to the restaurant. Mom and I made it through the door just fine but MeeMee tripped over the entrance rug that had flipped over from the wind. She fell into me, who in turn fell into the arms of a huge man. As we were laughing and apologizing, I looked up to see that the man who saved us from falling flat on our faces was Hank from Kendra and Hank. He was so sweet and asked if we were alright and we replied that we hoped so! I waited until his group turned the corner and I leaned over to discretely say to my Mom, "Momma! That is Hank from one of those trashy shows I watch!!" Well, I guess I wasn't speaking as discretely as I thought because he stuck his head back around the corner and shot me a huge smile as to say "I heard that!"

Story of my life, my mouth getting me in trouble.

It was a trip to remember. MeeMee said she can't wait to see where I take them next year. Looks like I have set the bar a little too high!

I am so excited.

NYC here we come!

Mom and my MeeMee are on their way right now. We are going to hang in Raleigh tomorrow to show my grandmother around and then jump on that plane Friday morning.

I am really looking forward to stepping out of the studio for a couple of days and hopefully get some new inspiration. I have been working on making some new products but haven't hit it just yet. I think there is no place better to get inspired!

Yesterday was W's bday.

Happy 2012 Leavie Lovas!!

Hope you had a blast ringing in the New Year.

W and I started off the weekend with a going away party in Fairhope on Thursday.

(pics tomorrow, I left my camera in the car)

The next morning, with my car packed to the max, we started our journey.

We wanted to break up the 12 hour drive to Raleigh and thought Atlanta would be the perfect place to spend a couple of nights.

It was a blast filled with a trip to the High Museum, my girl Pegs, good food and of course lots of champagne.

Picasso and Pollock on Friday.

NYE dinner!

After dinner we headed to the Ivy to meet friends but the line was around the building. Having to quickly change plans we ended up at a full on cougar den. Johnny's Hideaway. Hilarious and perfect.

Last night was such a blast.

This morning in true eating well resolution style ... W and I started off the New Year right at the Varsity with burgers before heading out on the rest of our trip.

I was so happy.

6 hours later we are here!

It is late and we didn't get any unpacking done, but it feels so good to finally be here! Getting my new apartment keys tomorrow and am excited to get everything situated and start feeling homey.

Right now W's house is filled with the smell of homemade black eyed peas and collard greens.

Got to start 2012 off right!

So excited to see what the Lord has in store of me and CRC in 2012. I don't know how it could beat 2011. Thank ya'll for the support and love! 2011 wouldn't have been what it was without you. I am forever thankful for YOU.

Abby got married this weekend!! She was so beautiful. I mean so so beautiful. The whole night was extra magical and super southern. I just took some candids and sadly no pics of the bride. Who does that?? But here is a little taste.

Almost all of us bridesmaids came dateless and had way too much fun being together. Lots of late night chats and dancing on stage. I am really thankful for good girl friends. We are all different and quirky in our own ways, but when put together we make a whole.
Super cheesy, I know, but oh so true.

It is finally here. My bestie's wedding week!!

I thought a little walk down memory lane was in order.

High school pictures have been left out... I wanted to still be friends after she sees this little post.

I can not tell you what a blessing it has been getting to see this girl almost everyday.

We have totally been soaking up actually being in the same town for once!!

As we were driving around last week and Nikki was showing me her new house, I embarrassingly broke down. Laughing as I was crying I told her they were happy tears. Tears of joy but also tears of the unknown. We have been "sisters" since I was in middle school. She has always been my rock. Now we are moving in different directions and to two different states. It is selfish but I am so going to miss my sister. I know it won't be the same but I have faith that the Lord knows our hearts and will keep our bond just as strong.

P, I have never been more proud!!

We are going to have the most amazing week celebrating the blessed union.

Sorry for the absence lately but I have been movin and groovin.

Mostly just moving...

Yes. You are right. Those are Alabama flags on our shinny Uhaul (what W likes to call Roll Tide flags). He ran to the store to grab some last minute things and came back with these beauts...

We loaded that thing up all day.

Then celebrated my last night in Bham with dinner and a big ole fire.

My parents met us the next morning bright and early.

After packing their car to the max we headed on up!

Great weekend in Raleigh. My rents loved it and now feel better about me being so far away.

Sadly I didn't get to stay! With the holidays around the corner and being in 2 wedding in December I thought the best thing to do would be living in Fairhope and working until the first of the year. It is crazy having half of my life here and there but I am so excited and blessed with this fun move!

He also has put both my brother and me through college while providing us with more than we could ever need (something that I am forever grateful for). I am so blessed to not have student loans and parents who taught me what hard work is and where it can take you. I feel that it is our God given right and responsibility to take care of ourselves. As a small business owner I know the time and energy it takes to keep things running.

I pay my taxes and live within my means. I am proud to be part of the 53%.

I haven't left my house in 2 days.

It is not pretty ... and by it is I mean me.

CRC has a 15 piece Goblet set due and a huge show in Louisiana next week and I have literally done nothing but eat, sleep, and make pots.
(maybe not quite in that order...)

I am making myself stay sane and about to got to the gym and then get my nails done.
I might even be crazy and put some lipstick on! gasp!!

The drive yesterday from Fairhope to Birmingham was beautiful with all of the red and yellow leaves.

This is going to be a CRAZY month for CRC. Christmas orders are piling in! I am making everything with extra love and blessings. Hadley is working on getting my online shop rolling within the next couple of weeks AND I have started to pack everything up for the NC move. whew, stressful just thinking about it!

Working this week for a show in Louisiana.

we had our bachelorette bonanza for my little bride NMP!!

Ya'll know how you get excited for someone you know REALLY making it??

Well, this morning as I am making flowers in my studio and on my 3rd cup of coffee, I am waiting to see James Farmer on the Today Show!

His book recently hit the press and this Georgia boy is taking the world by storm.
A Time To Plant is beyond beautiful...

Lets back up a little bit ... we aren't exactlllly friends.

He came with Mrs Lila to see a CRC show in Mobile a while back and we had so much fun getting to know each other.

Meeting him and seeing where he had taken his business encouraged me so much!

James is super talented and this book is a first of many is a series he has been working on.

Ahhh I am just so excited for him!

As a fellow small business owner I know the feeling of JOY with each little moment of success.

What a beautiful weekend! The perfect weather to me.

Nurse A and I had the best time soaking up one of our last weekends together in Birmingham. I am going to miss her so much. It is going to be hard not having my sister always there.

Gearing up for a CRC show Thursday at the Ivy Cottage and am dropping off new work at Stowe's on Friday. Busy, busy week. Busy but exciting as this weekend is full of NMP engagement celebrations. I have been planning her Bachelorette party for weeks and am so excited that it is finally here! She blesses everyone she touches so much and I can not wait to show my sister how much she is loved!

Man today was an amazing day!

As I sat down to put all of these pics on my computer and write this post I was super overwhelmed with how blessed I am. It is crazy how sweet the Lord is!

A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call from Victoria Magazine asking if I wanted to be one of their 10 Entrepreneurs for the January / February annual entrepreneur issue.

Uhhh yea...of course! Such an honor.

It is still weird to think of myself as an entrepreneur! Who woulda thunk I could run a successful business?? (it sure amazes me!)

Today an Editor and a Photographer came over to the studio to take some action shots and of course images of some fabulous pots!

pure excitement!!

Thanks Nurse A for helping me rearrange our whole house late last night.

Oxford Floral was beautiful and super busy.
